
One of the oldest temples in Kerala, India, the Vadakkumnathan Temple is a classic example of the Kerala style of architecture. It has many decorative murals and pieces of art. Vadakkumnathan is the venue of the world famous Pooram festival, where one can come across hundreds of caparisoned elephants at one stretch. The fireworks at the Pooram, which is conducted during April-May, is a spectacular sight.
